Deep within the Arctic Circle lies Saariselkä, a captivating fell area nestled in the northern part of Lapland. Located a remarkable 250 kilometers from the starting point of the Arctic Circle, this town is steeped in mystic tales, boasts a rich Sami culture, and shimmers with an alluring sense of gold. Saariselkä boasts an array of ski slopes making it an ideal destination for those new to skiing or snowboarding. Ski schools are available to provide lessons and guidance, allowing everyone to experience the breathtaking winter landscapes through skiing. One of the unique aspects of Saariselkä is its relatively untouched and remote location, which provides optimal conditions for viewing the mesmerizing Northern Lights. GETTING TO SAARISELKÄ
Saariselkä is easily accessible by various means of transportation. The nearest airport is Ivalo Airport, which is just a 30-minute drive or bus ride from Saariselkä. Alternatively, you can reach Saariselkä by bus or car from Rovaniemi, within 3-4 hours.
