Another activity unique to Pyhä is a visit to the only working amethyst mine in Europe, Lampivaara amethyst mine, which invites visitors to delve into the captivating world of gemstones. Pyhä is easily accessible by various means of transportation. The nearest international airport is Rovaniemi airport, which is well-connected to major cities around the world. You can easily reach the area from Rovaniemi by car or by a bus transfer, which runs several times a day from the Rovaniemi airport. A private transportation is also possible to arrange from Rovaniemi to Pyhä area.
