Finnish sauna and ice swimming Rovaniemi.jpg

Private Sauna and Ice Swimming Experience

Feel the healing power of ice and fire in this traditional Finnish exercise.

The sauna is the pride and joy of the Finnish people and has been one of the magical keys to Finnish happiness over hundreds of years. The soft heat of the sauna has plenty of positive effects on the body and mind; it can relieve stress, enhance sleep quality, help with joint and muscle recovery just to name a few. On the other side of the spectrum the Finns like to expose themselves to the opposite extreme in the form of Ice Swimming. This is a traditional way to improve the body’s defense system. Cold therapy has been proven to positively affect one’s mood, relieve pain and improve stress tolerance.

On this tour you are invited to feel the high heat and the freezing cold on your skin and discover the instant and long-lasting relief from head to toe. The Sauna will be heated for you to the perfect temperature. After the warm embrace of the sauna, it’s time to head outside and walk to the end of the pier where a proper swimming hole has been made. A quick dip into the icy pool and then head back to the sauna! You will experience a tingling sensation of your bloodstream flowing through your body resulting in an ultimate Lappish relaxation. Relax in the warmth of the sauna and enjoy a cold beverage.
